Collectif des Familles de Disparu(e)s en Algerie
$40,000
To promote the rule of law, transparency and accountability of the Algerian state for its past human rights violations, and advocate transitional justice processes. CFDA will conduct two-day capacity building workshops on advanced communications and advocacy strategies, a seminar on international human rights concepts and mechanisms, develop a strategy for an advocacy campaign, and launch a campaign to advocate for transitional justice processes in Algeria.

AGIR Association for Youth Development and Growth
$33,000 
To build the capacity of marginalized youth to become active participants in Algeria’s political, economic and social life. AGIR will train 20 youth on leadership skills, social entrepreneurship, project development, and political participation; organize field visits to local businesses and community-based organizations to help youth identify internship and employment opportunities; and establish a media center to train youth on using new media for networking and advocacy.

Rally for Youth Action (RAJ)
$25,000
To promote democratic ideals, human rights values, and civic engagement among youth. RAJ will raise awareness about issues of concerns to youth, and facilitate interaction between youth, civil society organizations and decision makers at the local level though meetings, workshops, conferences and roundtable discussions, and the publication of an Arabic-language list of recommendations which RAJ will also utilize in its advocacy campaign.
